ASTM AS568 — originally issued by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and now maintained by ASTM International — defines over 300 dash-numbered o-ring sizes. The standard covers four cross-section series: 1.02 mm (100-series), 1.52 mm (100-series small), 2.62 mm (200–300 series), and 3.53 mm (400 series), with inside diameters ranging from 0.74 mm (AS-001) to over 600 mm.
AS568 sizes are the default specification for hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic actuators, face-seal fittings, and aerospace components manufactured to North American tolerances.
